Woolly Mammoths of Enfield and Other Stories

Award winning children’s theatre company Chickenshed produced an immersive, interactive and fun theatre show for all the family as their festival project. Created by the Tales from the Shed’s creative team, the show is an interactive performance told using song, dance, mime, recordings, animation, and everything in between, telling the stories of Enfield’s history in a creative and accessible way.

Chickenshed have been delivering the show across schools and venues in the Enfield borough. In their school sessions they have been to 12 local primary schools performing the show to 739 school children. They also performed 3 sold out shows at Dugdale Arts Centre in October 2023 for 271 people, meaning that so far over 1000 local children have seen the show and learned about the industrial heritage of Enfield. Chickenshed will be performing 6 more shows at Fore Street Library and Dugdale Arts Centre in 2024.
