‘Animation Live’ theatre workshop with 1927

  • Chickenshed 290 Chase Side London, England, N14 4PE United Kingdom (map)

A workshop for creatives with internationally acclaimed animated theatre company 1927.

This workshop will explore the art of using simple animations in performance. The art of interacting with animation is a skill encompassing mime, clowning, devising, and collaboration across art forms.  It will teach performance styles and devising ideas and explore how we fuse eye-catching animated ideas with strong performance to create magical images!

The workshop is open to all creatives and will be relevant to film makers, visual artists, writers, dancers and musicians. It will be a chance to rethink our own disciplines, to explore and explode what happens when we fuse artforms to tell stories. Attendees will have the choice to participate and/or watch the workshop.

1927 are an internationally acclaimed, award winning company who make wildly creative animated theatre shows! From larger-than-life operas in LA to small shows in church halls in Lagos, from Ozzy Osbourne music videos to collaborations between prisons and primary schools.
